Children’s “No More Malaria Offering” Given at Annual Conference

Our children have been handing out bracelets and collecting money for the last few months  for “No More Malaria.” Bishop Goodpaster announced before the offering that last year this time, a child died from malaria related causes every 30 seconds.  This year, because of world wide efforts, it has been cut in half. A child dies from malaria  every 60 seconds. While that is an improvement, we look at our children and realize we can do better.

We are so proud of our children and their dedication to helping other children! Our offering at annual conference on Thursday morning raised over $16,000 for efforts to erase this silent killer.   Please consider going to the website and donating to “No More Malaria” online.

Home Bible Study on Sunday, June 23 6:30 PM

Arthur and Barbara Jenkins are hosting a soup beans and cornbread feast in their home Sunday night as we gather to worship and holy conference together.

One of the annual conference speakers yesterday reminded us that Jesus did most of his teaching to his disciples around the dinner table in someone’s home!

Bring a dish if you can, and meet at the church at 6:15 PM and we will carpool up to their house.
